OUR ORCHARDS

Our orchards are tucked within historic Wood Colony, located in California’s Central Valley, just east of San Francisco. This area is known around the world for having some of the most fertile soil in the world. The combination of fertile ground, hot summers, and cold enough winters for the trees to go dormant, all work together to create the perfect environment for growing a beautiful and bountiful almond tree. These particular ranches, for which we refer to as East Blue, and Center Blue, were purchased by the Bohn family in 1992 and developed into a beautiful almond orchard. West Blue was added to the orchards in 2014 and after cultivating the soil with cover crops, has also been planted into a budding new almond orchard. Justin and Angie Bohn, began the pursuit of making these delicious and healthy snacks available to the public in 2015. Our orchards produce premium quality almonds through an integrated method of traditional and state-of-the-art farming practices.

East Blue

Our East Blue Orchard is tucked into the Historic Wood Colony area of the Central Valley. Planted in 2008, this orchard is in its 7th harvest. The non-pareil variety is cross pollinated with Fritz and matures into a plump meaty nut that is delicious for snacking.

Center Blue

Just next door, our Center Blue Orchard was planted in 2011. This orchard is in its 3rd harvest. The non-pareil variety is cross pollinated with Fritz and matures into a plump meaty nut that is delicious for snacking.

West Blue

Our West Blue Orchard is the neighboring acres, and our newest orchard. It was planted in 2014 and will be ready for its first harvest in 2018.
